Terrible staff/management - avoid this hotel
Posted 13 Jun 2019 on HotelsWorst experience I ever had during my many business travels.
Hotel staff woke me up at 6 am (!!) and forced me to pay again for the night. My company had prepaid the reservation on hotels.com and I showed them the confirmation again, clearly stating that the stay was "prepaid". They did not believe me and threatened me and in the end forced me to pay again - of course a higher rate than the original price on Hotels.com.
Not even Hotels.com was able, after a complaint from my company, to get hold of the hotel management and request an explanation and refund. Hotels.com ended up refunding the original payment to my company.
This hotel should not be listed from hotels.com or any other booking site.

Sorry madam/mr,
but we mean there was a mistake.
The fact was that we did not receive the confirmation from expedia at time certainly a problem due to network .
Some guests use to book on EXPEDIA and after few minute their cancel afer printing the confirmation document.
Sorry about this great mistake from the staff of RESIDENCE ACHENBACH.
