The location of the hotel is excellent right on Union terrace with easy transport links and easy walk to most places. The hotel itself though is rather tired and even though the room was comfortable enough, the drawers were dirty and chipped. Service was fine. More a 3 star hotel than 4 star. I recently stayed in Mercure Hannover in Germany and that was miles ahead of this.

Room was clean and comfortable with big screen tv, iron, ironing board and safe. Staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Just a couple of things - carpet needs replaced as it was a bit whiffy and shower curtain was very annoying as it clung to you in the shower.

The room was so dated with alot of damp stains in the ceiling, stained carpet and old furniture. The photos of rooms in the website are not the rooms that you get. Definitely would not recommend or return! It was very over priced.

Staff were excellent. Restaurant and bar closed early.

Property is badly needing updating don’t think anything has been done for a number of years would not book again terrible hotel
