We stayed at the Copthorne hotel for 5 nights. We were visiting Aberdeen for a friend's wedding. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large, comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the breakfast and also ate a meal in the restaurant. We would stay at the Copthorne hotel again and we will recommend it to others.

We booked at last minute due to a cancelled flight and what a find! The Hotel is super modern, stylish and well maintained. The service is excellent, the staff are friendly, efficient and really helpful. Customer service is an important part of the overall experience and this was second to none in all areas, the reception, bar and restaurant. The room was clean, well presented and exactly what you expect from a hotel of this quality. Walking distance to Union Street down some lovely cobbled streets.

Although the property is said to be recently updated, it felt distinctly dated. The rooms are quite dark, and the bathtubs are not like in the hotel photos (which show glassed showers) but rather have shower curtains (which seem 2nd tier and less desirable to me). Nice lobby, bar, and restaurant. The location is good. And the staff are friendly and helpful.

Placed in room 401 located adjacent to an extremely noisy lift shaft. Unable to get any sleep due to the excessive noise. The self service breakfast ingredients were served lukewarm at best and of poor quality.

The room we were initially allocated was situated beside the kitchen extractor fan which was incredibly noisy. On request we were moved to a room in a quieter part of the hotel.

Below expectations!!
Our Club Room was a good size but really hot and stuffy and that was with the window open. There is a fan to use but noisy. There was a permanent smell of dampness around the hotel. Our experience at breakfast was poor. Selection of teas very poor as they were waiting on a delivery. Scrambled egg was solid,look warm and inedible as an example of the standard of poor quality of food offered. Overall found the staff to be disinterested and lacking in a passion for the job.
