"Just had a wonderful stay at The Otterburn Castle Country House Hotel. Lovely grounds and despite it only being 9th Feb the woodlands and grounds were overed in snowdrops indicating Spring is not far away. At this time of year we stayed ahead of season and there were not too many people here. There is a small bar area and a lovely old world lounge where we sat before and after our evening meal with a few glasses of wine in front of a log fire. "We enjoyed our recent stay here. The room was excellent with a spotless new bathroom and comfortable bed. Better pillows would have been nice but not a problem for a short stay. The food was very good but the service rather slow. We weren't in any hurry but 30-40 minutes to produce breakfast after ordering seemed a bit excessive. Staff were all very friendly and helpful so positive overall."

"Return stay. Stayed here many times over the last few years, always a warm and friendly welcome, good service, good food and nice rooms. Also, good for business travellers, breakfast available from 7.30, unlike so many country hotels. The Wheatsheaf is ideally positioned for me to travel out in whatever direction my work takes me. "

"Upon arrival to Berwick we had a difficulty in finding the hostel and had to ring for the directions unfortunately. There's no TV in our room, no internet access as well which is a bummer 😕😔 Apart from that it's good that our room is situated in the ground floor which is good for me since I'm a disabled and the bathroom is a big plus,too!"
