"The room was great, what a view! Hotel is within walking distance of most attractions. Pay to park on the street around the corner, overnight and every 2 hrs in the day, which was adequate. Plenty of restaurant options nearby, and the Brasserie was delicious for dinner and breakfast, however our waiter was rude. Dinner felt rushed to be made to order everything all at once. Check in and check out were pleasant."

"Great place to stay. Good food and great service. Some of it looking a little dated but very clean. Good little pool but beware it is used for children's swimming lessons. Not much to do around the area (you will need a car) but very convenient for the ferry. You can spot otters just down the road! "

"The place is right next to the water - unobstructed view. The 0.7 mile walk to center of Oban was nice in good weather but we got wet several time (expected this for October). Public transportation was hard to find so needed our car. Our room was a little small and cramped, but we could see other larger rooms. Check in and parking was a bit of a hassle. Great “Continental breakfast “ that included meats, cheeses, baked goods and more- well worth the modest cost "

"Our host Michael was charming, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The accommodationn was fantastic with spectular views over the loch. The room was big, as was the onsuite, and there were great touches e.g. a cafetiere with coffee, supplied free, each morning. Breakfast was plentiful, freshly cooked abd yummy. "Floor in the kitchen had major buckling a trip hazard. They needed to leave a booklet or something with directions with the Wi-Fi passcode and everything felt like we had to text. Wait for answers. We never got the pre-instructions before we got there. That was a hassle. "
