"Stayed for two nights at North Mountain View Suites, and it was easily the best stay we’ve had in our 14 day trip to Iceland! The rooms were beautifully furnished and extremely spacious, and there was plenty of space to park outside our cabin! "Very nice guesthouse close to the Ring Road. Super spacious room with a clean private restroom, quiet, and easy parking. Large and delicious breakfast buffet, and the host and other employees were very warm and friendly. One note -- We arrived rather late after 10pm (not planned), and we were fortunate that another couple was checking in at the same time. "We were in room 26, which is essentially a tucked away building with doors on each end, and doors inside on each side of the hallway. The walls were very thin and you could hear everything in the hallway, but somehow the (very small) rooms seemed quiet when inside - so a false sense of privacy. There's nothing really wrong with this accomodation, and I appreciated the check in process literally just being that you receive a message with your door code and entering in a blank code behind you when...

"On the hillside across the fjord from the airport and town, it was in the middle of having an extension when we were there (boy, Icelandic builders are hardy) so was a little out of sorts. That said, it is kept in immaculate order, and I’m sure the extension will be great. Currently it’s just 8 rooms, and won’t be so much bigger next year, but will have an internal lift so you don’t have to go outside to get to the lower rooms. There isn’t a restaurant, but the breakfast buffet is a good start...

"Hotel is located of the main town area. Not much around, but good place to stay overnight after the long trip. Easy to find, check-in - easy - just enter the supplied by email code into electronic lock :). Room is minimalistic and a bit crampy, but beds were comfortable. There are only several rooms with private entrance and bathrooms (we had one of them). Otherwise not much to say. Good value for the money."
