"Great modern apartment in old town next to Plaza de Espana.
Easy walking everywhere. Tourist office is a few doors down.
Great tapas bars close by.Only complaint is the shower has mildew and needs better cleaning!"

"A great choice for exploring Merida. It’s not quite the 5 star hotel it’s listed as on some sites, but it is still excellent. Nice big rooms with character and good bathrooms. The pool is lovely (it’s also green: perfectly safe and lots of people were in it, but it was green). The bar isn’t a bar - it’s a cafe and it’s not open that late (for Spain) but that doesn’t really matter a the square out front has loads of bars. Stored my luggage on check out fine. Online check in didn’t work but front desk were good/quick. 15 minutes walk from bus station, 10 from train station, easy walk to the Roman theatre and other sites."
"We needed a hotel for three adult family members with parking for one night, conveniently located near Mérida’s old town, and Hotel Velada met our needs perfectly. Check-in was prompt and smooth, and we were able to add a last-minute breakfast option without any hassle. Extending check-out by an hour was also easy to arrange with a quick phone call.
The room, while on the smaller side, was clean and well-prepared to accommodate all our needs. The hotel’s location was a big advantage, within walking distance of a covered public swimming pool as well as the Roman amphitheater and theater. Overall, it was a great choice for our short stay in Mérida."
"It is a small cozy hostal. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Staff is very friendly. No breakfast, but local business are just a few steps away. Which we enjoyed a lot. Merida is a friendly beautiful city, with a lot of history and art."
